Engage In Positive Self

Similarly to engaging in affirmations, self-talk is highly important to us. According to a book written by Shad Helmstetter and titled “What to Say When You Talk To Yourself”, we spend more time talking to ourselves than any other person on a daily basis. The things which we tell ourselves determine our mood, decisions and attitude and, yes, we are highly likely to believe the things which we tell ourselves. By taking control of your self-talk, you can start to live your life according to the way you want it. Your subconscious mind can believe this self-talk and begin to manifest the things which you tell it. As such, right after your affirmations spend some time every day making positive self-talk about the things which you desire in your life. By repeating this every single day, you are guaranteed to start creating a new positive reality for yourself.

How To Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind For Success

Scientists believe that only about 3% of your brains processing power goes toward your conscious mind the thoughts, ideas, and decisions you make every day.

The other 97% is used for subconscious and automatic functions, like digesting food and breathing. Your habits and beliefs also fall under that 97%, which means your subconscious is pretty freakin powerful.

Why Is Reprogramming The Subconscious Mind Important

The simple answer is because people are often afraid of not succeeding. Many times, the fear of failure may cause some to believe that failure in their lives will mean failure forever and cause them to a lead a life full of disappointment.

I have to admit that I suffered from this when I came to the United States as an ESL student back in 1998. When I came to the United States in the late 90s at age 24, I was terrified about the prospects of having to learn the English language in six months and having to attend college in a second language right after and graduate within four years.

Clearly, I had to work on reprogramming the subconscious mind and convincing myself to believe that engaging in such a daunting endeavor was possible, rewarding, and within my reach.

It has been said that our conscious mind represents only 3% of our brain. The other 97% belongs to the subconscious mind. According to Dr. Collautt, our subconscious mind is one million times more powerful than our conscious mind, which leads me to believe that working on our subconscious mind is worthwhile.

Check out an interview with Dr. Collautt on this very topic here:

Im not in favor of recommending anyone to engage in hypnosis, meditation, or anything new age. Im in favor, however, of people realizing that they do have the power to work in harmony with their inner self from a scientific standpoint.

A Breakthrough Book Explains Why So Many People Are Miserable And How To Experience More Joy

Reprogram Your Brain (Original Mix)

According to UC Berkeley-based clinical psychologist Rick Hanson, you can train your brain to experience more happiness on a daily basis through a series of short exercises performed during your workday and downtime.

In his new book, Hardwiring Happiness: The New Brain Science of Contentment, Calm, and Confidence, Hanson explains that evolution left humans with a tendency to pay attention to the negative rather than the positive.

Because survival depended upon immediately identifying and quickly reacting to life threats, “the brain evolved a negativity bias that makes like Velcro for bad experiences but Teflon for good ones.”

Therefore, bad experiences tend stick with us , while good experiences tend to be quickly forgotten. Over time, we thus tend to accumulate a long list of easily-recalled bad experiences, which seem vivid and significant, while we tend to forget good experiences.

For example, Hanson cites studies that good relationships require at least a 5-to-1 ratio of positive interactions to negative ones. In other words, you’ll probably dislike your boss if he doesn’t praise you at least five times more than he criticizes you.

I’d actually go further than that. I’d say some negative interactions completely ruin a relationship, at work or anywhere else. Why, I remember one boss who…

In other words, my brain has been busy accumulating negative thoughts, experiences, and worries and sticking big red “THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!” flags on them.

Does This Sequence Sound Familiar

1) You are invited to a social event. Your mind will automatically begin to remind you of the fact that you won’t know some of the people there, that you will have to say hello and then try to make small talk, that you have always struggled with small talk, that you won’t know what to say.

2) Your brain will bring forth images of vivid memories of past social “failures”, you will picture yourself standing in front of someone you don’t know as an awkward silence looms between you.

3) Your heart will begin to beat faster as you recall these memories and anticipate terrible outcomes. You begin to feel anxious.

4) You decide to make up an excuse to not attend the event.

5) You decline the invitation, and think you will try harder next time. You feel a sense of disappointment in yourself but an even bigger sense of relief.

The more you repeat this sequence, the more automatic it becomes. And in the case of avoidance, the sense of brief relief you feel actually acts as a reward, cementing the sequence in further.

How To Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind

We always suggest keeping a journal of anything out of the ordinary that is showing up in your life new people, opportunities, triggers, hang-ups, feelings of resistance, job environment changes, relationships, problems, patterns, etc. Based on what is showing up in your life, you can determine your level of subconscious self-worth, how clear you are with your intentions , and where youll want to reprogram to step out of old patterns and habits.

Reminder: you dont need to waste your money, time, or energy on if I stay positive, Ill attract what I desire. If I change my negative thoughts, Ill attract what I desire. This will get you nowhere. Your subconscious mind controls your manifestations not your thoughts.

Subconscious self-worth is the law of attraction, so reprogramming your subconscious mind is not only about emotional and mental freedom, but also about increasing your magnetism so you can connect with whatever it is you want to manifest. Where Else Does This Happen In My Life

This question will help you find patterns in your instruction manual. The brain develops patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting that lead to similar results and point to core beliefs, like Im not good enough, or Leaders must always be right.

Because many beliefs form during childhood, you may not be aware that theyre beliefs at all. You may think theyre facts. But patterns provide clues. Once you identify patterns that create negative results, you can begin to change them.

How To REPROGRAM Your Mind – Dr. Bruce Lipton

Your thoughts and belief system make up the software that runs your life. The way you experience the world around you is a reflection of your inner belief system.

And have you noticed how limiting beliefs block your growth and progress?

The human mind relies on the brain to carry out its functions . . . and our minds divide into two parts: the conscious and subconscious.

Think of your mind as an iceberg the conscious part is the part you see on the surface of the oceanwhich is roughly about 5 percent of the ice formation. And the other 95 percent that lies under the sea represents your subconscious mind.

Imagine the power of the subconscious . . .

The subconscious mind is always active . . . regulating the automatic functions of our body. It’s also responsible for encoding our emotional responses into our cellular memory. This process determines our motivation and shapes our behavior, thought patterns, and habits.

So, if you want to change your behavior and create daily habits for success, you have to start communicating more effectively with your subconscious mind. It’s that simple.

Here are three favorite techniques we gathered to help you get going on the path to reprograming your brain for goal achievement in all areas of your life.

How To Manage Your Mind In These Turbulent Times

Take the circumstance about whats happening in the world with the coronavirus. Well call the circumstance or fact: 100 people in my area have the coronavirus. Note: for many, this is heavy and very sensitive material that is best discussed with a trained professional.

When my brain sees something like this, it naturally wants to freak out. To feel like the world is ending, to want to go run and hide. Thats normal. My brain is trying to protect me from danger. Its supposed to do that. And I dont want to minimize how severe this epidemic is or how there are people losing their life battling it.

But if I keep listening to all the negative points in the media, and feel the emotions of panic, helplessness, or overwhelm, I wont take the actions that will have me show up how I want. I wont go help my kids or put my house in order and prepare for food shortage or go out of my way to find a neighbor who needs my help.

The first point for me is not that I want to look at that circumstance and try to spin it to feel happy about it. I dont always want to be happy. So I allow myself to be sad. To hurt for those suffering. To not try to push away those feelings but to sit in them, process them. But if it gets to the point that Im indulging in that emotion or that Im letting it overwhelm me to panic or actions that dont serve me, then thats when I want to redirect my brain.

How To Reprogram The Subconscious Mind

5th December 2020 by Aaron Surtees, the UKs most recommended hypnotherapist

Know that in your deeper mind are Infinite Intelligence and Infinite Power.

This inspiring quote comes from The Power of the Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy.

First published in 1963, the popular self-help book now has almost 46,000 reviews on Goodreads…

And a long list of publications on the topic of the subconscious mind has followed since then.

More recently, Dr. Joe Dispenzahas risen to fame for his research on neuroscience and manifesting change.

His works Evolve Your Brain and Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself were both best-sellers.

This speaks to the ongoing curiosity that people have to explore the mind in greater depth…

We feel theres something more. We know theres something more.

But at times, the subconscious mind can seem elusive, and hard to crack or decipher with any real clarity.

In my decades of experience as a hypnotherapist, Ive never lost my passion to both learn about and facilitate subconscious programming.

Ive met with and treated thousands of clients at this point — individuals who want to overcome phobias, stop addictions or improve their mental health across the board.

Whats clear is that its very challenging to out-think the conscious mind…

As you may have noticed, the mind is a chatterbox!

It loves to throw up a stream of repetitive thoughts. And what ends up happening?

You get stressed, anxious, or frustrated.

Tony Robbins Priming Method

Tony Robbins says emotion is created by motion. A change in your physical state will change how you feel. Last month I attended his Unleash the Power Within seminar and learned about priming, which harnesses this principle.

Heres how it works:

  • Sit down with your eyes closed and raise your hands above your head.
  • Breathe heavily in and out through your nose for three sets of 30 breaths.
  • On each out breath, pull your arms downward, making fists.
  • After three sets, feel gratitude and self-love.
  • In the resulting state, you can easily plant healthy new thoughts and beliefs in your mind.

When Is The Best Time To Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind

How to Reprogram Your Brain for Excellence

The best time to reprogram your subconscious mind is before and during sleep.

The reason, your brain naturally releases chemicals that slow down brain activity.

Your mind shifts into a theta brain state, which feels like a dream-like or hypnotic sensation. When your brain transfers to this theta brain state, your conscious mind or awareness is switched off, your subconscious mind is activated, and reprogramming can occur.

If you try and reprogram your subconscious mind throughout the day, your conscious mind will prevent the reprogramming from occurring.

The conscious mind will block the new ideas, habits and thinking from accessing your subconscious mind.

However, if you wait until your conscious mind is asleep, your subconscious mind can freely absorb all the transformation you desire. The subconscious mind is most stimulated to change the hours leading up to sleep and during sleep.

Why Should I Change My Beliefs

Often in life were stuck with conditioned beliefs by society that have dictated to us who we are and what were capable of. By allowing other people to do so, were basically limiting our possibilities and chances for success.

    • If people tell you that youre not smart, guess what youre going to believe about yourself? > That youre dumb
    • If you failed at public speaking for the first time in your life, guess what youre going to believe about yourself? > That you suck at public speaking
    • If you had an awkward night out with weird interactions with women, guess what youre going to believe? > That youre creepy and unattractive

    The list is endless

Anyway, do you see the trend?

We base the perception of ourselves and our surroundings on the knowledge weve gathered over the years oblivious to the fact that these beliefs might simply be lies we tell our-self.

We form false conclusions based on the gathered knowledge

    Why is this a problem?

Our perception of who we are and of our world is literally what shapes our life. Our beliefs become self-fulfilling prophecies.

So heres the major problem Ive seen in myself and pretty much every other human being on this entire planet

    We choose to believe bullshit

    • We CHOOSE for truths that actively destroy our possibilities in life
    • We CHOOSE for realities that limit our opportunities
    • We CHOOSE to live in a world in which we are the victim

    Fuck that noise seriously

Like I said in my post titled The STFU-Manifesto:

Your Subconscious Mind Controls 95% Of Your Day

Yet your subconscious mind was programmed between the ages of 1 and 7!

And guess what blocks you from creating and keeping new habits?

    Your subconscious minds programming.

Creating long-lasting habits becomes an exhausting battle of willpower when unaware of how to work with your brain to rewire your subconscious programming.

And its especially difficult when the new habit is unaligned with your original programming.

Humans naturally rely on willpower to create new habits. The problem is, you can lose our willpower in a flash.

For example, when you experience a highly emotional event, your brain goes into fight or flight mode. Stay in this emotional state for an elongated period and poof- willpowers gone.

When your brain is in this highly stressed state, it resorts back to its original programming, causing you to act/react in familiar ways.

This is why some people can keep up with new habits for years, but after a difficult life event, they instantly resort back to old patterns.

If you fail to get to the bottom of why your subconscious programming is blocking you from a habit creation, then youll fall victim to that vicious cycle.

I say vicious cycle because it has the potential to be one, but its important to note that your brain works this way for good reason.

Dr. Bruce Lipton provides the best example of this Ive heard.

He states that the reason your brain has this function is so you dont need to re-learn vital tasks repeatedly.

    Not many, right?
