The CPU is basically like the brain of a computer. It processes all the information on a computational level.
It takes information from the RAM and processes it to perform the tasks required from the computer.
It is usually seated in a socket that utilizes a lever or a latch with a hinged plate with a cut out in the center to secure it onto the motherboard.
It has many copper pads underneath it for the socket contacts to push up against them to make electrical contact.
There are other ways CPUs can be attached to the motherboard.
Here are some common examples:
- ZIF : Although this a more desirable socket, they are mostly found on older computer motherboards. A lever-operated mechanism to clamp the pins of the processor.
- PGA : It is also a ZIF socket but has a different pin pitch and contains a different pin count.
- LGA : More commonly found on motherboards today. A levered hinged plate with a center cut-out clamps down on the processor.
- BGA : The CPU is soldered directly onto the motherboard. This makes it a non-user swappable part. It is susceptible to bad connectivity.
A processor generates a decent amount of heat, especially when it is working under high loads.
It will run even hotter when it is set to a higher clock speed to make it run faster. This is called overclocking.
This is why a heatsink and fan assembly are required to draw the heat away from the processor and distribute it to thin sheets or fins of metal for the fan to cool down.
Reasons Behind Forgetting Things
The brain can store a large sum of data in it, but some things are lost. Forgetting is as essential as retaining something. It helps make new memories and move on. Otherwise, we will never progress into the future and cling on everything traumatic we remember. Sometimes we even forget the memories we cherish because this is how the brain works. It lets go of memories so future memories can be made. This is the reason why we even forget our most heartbreaking break up after a while or even our most cherished birthdays.

This is the process of losing memory when the neuron connection weakens over time. With aging or when we do not actively recall a memory, the neuron’s link is lost. It can also happen when we lose the stimulus to the mind. The memory might still be there, but we are not able to access it.
This happens when our brain actively prunes and discard certain details of a memory. For example, when we learn a new piece of information that contradicts the previous one, the pleasant memory is retained. The conflicted one is dismissed. With target forgetting, we also eliminate our conflicted believes and welcome new perceptions.

Network Interface Card Or Wifi Card
The network interface card is also called the NIC . This part is what gives a computer its networking capabilities.
It can allow a wired Ethernet connection or a wireless WiFi connection to a LAN . Today, most computers have wireless NICs that are designed for WiFi connection. Also, you can insert a wired Ethernet NIC card in a motherboard slot to get additional network connectivity ports if needed.

Sometimes this self-stigmatization can be harder to fix than people who believe themselves morally flawed. There are five basic parts of a computer including the processor, which are assembled for carrying out various logical computing operations.
Psu: Power Supply Unit
A power supply mounts inside the computer case. This converts the AC mains supply from the wall socket and supplies the correct DC voltages to all the components inside the computer.
A computer power supply supplies the following voltages:
- +3.3v: This voltage is supplied to the motherboard.
- +5V: This voltage is supplied to the motherboard and other internal components.
- +12V: This voltage is supplied to the motherboard and other internal components.
- -12V: This voltage is supplied to the motherboard.
You get different wattage ratings for power supplies. The higher the wattage, the higher the electrical current that can be made available to parts that need it.
The higher you go in Watts, the more the power supply will be likely to cost.
A power supply also comes with its own cooling fan. This helps all the internal components to stay cool when the power supply is subjected to bigger loads.

The occipital lobe and parietal lobe in the human brain are similar to the GPU in a computer.
The occipital lobe is the visual processing center. It deals with distance, depth perception, color determination, object recognition, movement, face recognition, and memory information.
The parietal lobe processes sensory information such as touch, taste, and temperature and helps coordinate spatial relations.
The occipital lobe and parietal lobe of the computer is the GPU, where image, video, and 3D processing occurs.

The part of the computer that executes the program instructions is the CPU .
It is the control center of the computer, and it takes the data from the input devices or operating system and converts it to information output. It is a complex device that is made up of two parts: the control unit and the arithmetic/logic unit.
The CPU refers to the storage device or from programs in RAM for getting instructions and data.
The storage will store the operating system , as well as other applications and files.
The control unit of the CPU uses electrical signals to tell the computer system to carry out stored program instructions.
The arithmetic/logic unit has the electronic circuitry that executes the arithmetic and logical operations. The CPU uses this unit to test for conditions before it sends out orders to other parts of the computer.
The process of executing instructions is done in a specific way. First, program instructions and data need to be placed into memory from an input drive.
This information can be stored on the hard disk, or it can be input from a device. This data gets placed into memory, and then the CPU performs four steps.
The control unit gets the instructions from the memory. Then it decodes the instructions and sends the data that is needed to the arithmetic/logic unit. This set of steps is called Instruction Time.
Next, the control unit tells the memory to release the results to an output device. This set of operations is called the machine cycle.

As much as we can trust our brain in keeping the record of everything, it can go through specific alterations. Our memories, especially the episodic ones, are reconstructed and can be falsely stored. One pop culture representation of false memory we have seen is in the movie “Inception.” Tit revolves around going into someone’s subconscious and planting the idea or memory that was not there.
Progress in psychology has proven that memory implantation is indeed possible. With therapy, the memories can be manipulated, and new memories can be implanted. We see the phenomenon of memory implant going on in ‘Westworld where AIs are given false human memories to mask their reality and purpose.
